It was on 24th December 2002 -National Consumer Day, when a group of consumers activists and advocates dedicated to the rights of consumers, decided to promote a voluntary consumers association with the primary aim & object to create consumers awareness by offering a Helping Hand free to consumers in need of information, advice and guidance in all consumer related issues. CWA was registered on 9th April 2003 under the Societies Act & as a Trust under the Bombay Trust Act.
